Two-year Post-Doctoral Position, Agency Team, Institut Jean Nicod, Paris


Applications are invited for a two-year post-doctoral position to work with Elisabeth Pacherie and Valérian Chambon as part of ANR Research Project "Sense of Agency in Joint Action". The project will investigate experimentally the relations and differences between the respective mechanisms underlying our experience of agency in individual and in joint action and the conditions under which engaging in joint actions can induce transformations of agentive awareness.

Applicants should have a PhD in experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience or behavioural economics, a strong background in behavioural methods, and strong abilities in data analysis. Expertise in computational modelling would be a plus.

Institut Jean Nicod is a world-renowned multidisciplinary research center in philosophy, cognitive sciences and social sciences. It is part of the Department of Cognitive Studies at Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. It benefits from state-of-the-art research facilities (e.g. EEG, Biopack, Eye-tracker, cognitive behavioural testing suites, etc.) and provides an amazing environment for interdisciplinary research.

The salary will be adjusted to the candidate's experience (start salary for a first-year post-doctoral researcher: 26,000€, including health insurance and social benefits)
